Представьте ситуацию. Вам прислали номер телефона. Вам нужно написать человеку в Telegram. Какие ваши действия?
- выделить все цифры, скопировать номер в буфер
- открыть приложение Телефон (контакты), вставить номер из буфера
- сохранить в контактах под каким-то именем (надо придумать временное)
- найти его в контактах по имени
- нажать «новое сообщение в telegram»
Зайти в свой профиль в Telegram и прописать имя пользователя — username. Для удобства обычно ставят такой же ник, как в Инстаграме. Если он еще не занят 🙂
- В поиске Telegram теперь вас быстро можно найти по нику (username). Не нужно добавлять никаких контактов.
- На сайте можно сделать активную ссылку, чтобы «кликнуть и написать».
Что такое telegram username
You can set up a public username on Telegram. It then becomes possible for other users to find you by that username — you will appear in contacts search under ‘global results’. This allows to message you without needing to know your number. Public channels and groups can also have usernames.
If you mention usernames in Telegram messages, they become a link that opens the conversation, group, or channel. Like this: @username (yes, this example is a little recursive ��).
You can also use usernames outside of Telegram with the help of Telegram.me. Like this:

Usernames and Secret Chats 2.0
Telegram apps for both Android and iOS have been updated today.
Usernames
From now on, you can choose a public username in the Settings section of Telegram. If you do, anyone will be able to find you by your username and contact you – without having to know your phone number.
To find people by username, just start typing any name in the search field of the Contacts section. Once entered at least 5 characters, you will see the Global Search section in your search results. This list contains people with corresponding usernames.

Secret Chats 2.0
Secret Chats got a major upgrade today.
The self-destruct timer in Secret Chats now includes more small values ranging from 1 to 60 seconds. In chats with these shorter self-destruct timers, the countdown for photos, videos and voice messages will begin only after they are first opened. So the content will never disappear before you have seen it or listened to it.
Photos with short self-destruct timers now work in ‘Tap and Hold to View’ mode, and you will receive a notification each time the recipient of a self-destructing photo makes a screenshot of it.
