I have a MacBook Air and just tried to sign into myfitnesspal on safari and it came up with — Application error: a client-side exception has occurred (see the browser console for more information).
can someone please help me, I haven’t had a MacBook Air for long so not very IT illiterate with it!

urgent!! Whenever i try to install an application it doesn’t work? I have previously tried to download Origin and other application from the internet to my macbook air. The initial download works fine, pull the download over into the applications folder like i am asked to and this bit also works fine. Once i try to open the app from the taskbar at the bottom it asks if i want to open it i say yes and then it instantly crashes. at first i thought this was error with the app so i trashed all the files and tried again as much to my surprise i had the same error. I tried downloading the file via another browser so i switch from safari to chrome and had the extra same error. I found older versions of the origin app and these got to the exact same stage and crash when i am attempting to open them to install. I am assuming this is not an issue the programs but an issue with my mac itself as the same error presents itself when download different applications. Good news — there are two alternative simple solutions!
- Try a different browser such as Chrome. It works for sites such as Meetup.com that my Safari won’t load.
- Turn off JavaScript and reload the page. It should now load, though with some elements missing. See below.
The message «Application error: a client-side exception has occurred (see the browser console for more information)» indicates a JavaScript error. Basically, the website you are trying to load has been badly coded and does not conform to the standards your browser expects.
Some browsers are more tolerant of errors than others. For example, whilst safari 13 loads Meetup.com and then switches to the error message, Chrome loads it without complaint.
By turning JavaScript off in Safari (see below) you can load the page without an error occurring, although some content will be missing. In the case of Meetup.com this is generally media content such as images and videos. Note: JavaScript is not the same thing as java!
If you can understand JavaScript error messages, you might want to open the Safari JavaScript Console and send that to the website owner — but if you’re not a JavaScript developer, its pretty daunting and rather meaningless!
If choosing option 2 to load the site in Safari with JavaScript turned off, you can just open Safari Preferences (from the menu bar, or type Command + comma. Go to the Security tab and un-tick «Enable JavaScript. Now reload the website. It should load, but without some rich content.
Once you’ve reloaded the page, you can re-enable JavaScript to continue getting rich content on other websites.
If you want to make life easier for yourself, JavaScript can be enabled and disabled from Safari’s optional Developer menu.
Most settings here should be ;eft alone f you don’t know what you’re doing, but is has some useful shortcuts for disabling JavaScript, emptying the caches, and viewing the JavaScript console (where all the errors can be seen.
To enable the Developer menu, open Safari Preferences, click on the Advanced tab, and enable «Show Develop menu in menu bar» by ticking the box. You now have quick access to the settings we have discussed above.

Переходя по ссылкам на сайте с CMS WordPress иногда выходит ошибка Nginx «An error occurred» в логах пишется следующее:

Подскажите, пожалуйста, в чем может быть причина такого поведения?

В итоге методом проб и ошибок, обнаружил что после после увеличения worker_connections до 2000 и установкой worker_processes в значение 2, ошибки пропали и до сих пор не появлялись. Решил отписаться, дабы возможно инфа кому то будет нужна в случае аналогичной проблемы.

Hey @Joe Styles sorry to hear that, I see you also contacted the support team, they have sent you a reply so it’s definitely worth checking your inbox/spam for that and replying to the team as it would be good to get a screen recording with the developer console open whilst you’re experiencing this error so we can identify what the issue is.

i havent received a response from anyone about this issue and i havent been able to move on when i click buld because it keeps giving me an error message..
does anyone at video ask want to help resolve this problem?
i have been down for over a week and this is very uncommon from a business stand point.

@Joe Styles — all i can recommend is a little patience.. the Typeform and VideoAsk help desks respond to the tickets that come in in the order they are received. they will get to you as soon as your ticket gets to the top of the pile
suggest checking spam or promo tabs for email though — as i have had some of the support responses head there when i have submitted.
may not be the answer you want, but they really are good at getting back to folks

Пост на тот случай, когда у вас Roblox тоже выдал ошибку «an error occurred while starting» и не хочет запускаться. Данная оказия случается не очень часто, но, как оказывает практика (и статистика запросов в поисковиках), рано или поздно с ней приходится разбираться многим пользователям.
С другой стороны, проблему тоже нельзя назвать очень сложной и в подавляющем большинстве случаев устраняется она вполне себе стандартными способами. Вот о них мы сейчас и расскажем. Итак.
что делать, если Roblox показывает ошибку «an error occurred while starting»
Значит, по порядку, от простого к сложному (в плане объема работы):
#1 — перезагружаем роутер
Приём простейший, но в данном случае, весьма действенный. Поскольку Roblox при запуске автоматом подключается к интернету, то любой сбой в работе сети в этот момент действительно может помешать приложению нормально запуститься.
Потому если видим ошибку запуска Roblox , то идем к роутеру и жмем на нём кнопку «Reset«. Либо, если таковая не обнаружилась, просто выключаем прибор из розетки, ждем 1 минуту, потом включаем, возвращаемся к игре и пробуем зайти еще раз.
#2 — отключаем функцию «Использовать прокси-сервер для локальных подключений»
- на клавиатуре жмем «Win + R«, в строке «Выполнить» пишем inetcpl.cplи жмем Enter;
- в открывшемся окне снимаем галочку в чек-боксе «Использовать прокси-сервер для локальных подключений«;
- и кликаем ОК внизу окна.
Не пропустите: Если хотим, чтобы Roblox работал всегда и работал хорошо (без лагов, вылетов и пр), подписываемся на современный VPN-сервис, качественный и шустрый:
#3 — на время отключаем антивирус
Как мы уже сказали, на этапе запуска приложению Roblox требуется подключение к интернету. Антивирус по каким-то своим «убеждениям» может этому воспрепятствовать. Таким образом, чтобы этот конфликт устранить, проще всего на время отключить антивирус.
У большинства современных антивирусных программ добраться до «выключателя» можно через иконку в трее (правом нижнем углу экрана Windows).
Другими словами, находим иконку, кликаем по ней правой кнопкой мыши и в появившемся меню жмем строчку с названием вроде «Приостановить защиту» или «Выход«. Если ничего похожего в меню не оказалось, то тогда двойным кликом по той же иконке в трее открываем главное окно настроек антивируса и уже находим нужную кнопку там.
#4 — добавляем Roblox в «белый список» Защитника Windows
Причиной ошибки «error occurred while starting» может быть также штатный Защитник Windows 10. В таком случае урегулировать проблемку можно путем добавления приложения Roblox в список разрешенных программ Защитника. Делается это так:
- если в систему вы зашли не через учетную запись администратора, то надо перезайти;
- заходим в «Настройки» Windows, кликаем «Обновление и безопасность«, потом — «Безопасность Windows» (слева) и кнопку «Открыть Центр безопасности Защитника» (справа);
- дале кликаем «Брандмауэр и безопасность сети» и в следующем окне — ссылку «Разрешить работу с приложениями через брандмауэр«;
- жмем кнопку «Изменить параметры«, указываем Roblox и кликаем «Добавить«;
- после того, как приложение будет добавлено в «белый список» Защитника, устанавливаем для него разрешения и жмем OK.
#5 — переустанавливаем Roblox
Данная мера, само собой, целесообразна, если предыдущие четыре должного эффекта не возымели, и приложение настойчиво запускаться не желает. Потому далее:
- с клавиатуры жмем Win+R, в строке «Выполнить» пишем appwiz.cpl;
- в списке программ находим и выделяем Roblox и затем кликаем кнопку «Удалить«;
- подтверждаем команду, дожидаемся завершения процедуры удаления и перезагружаем комп;
- после заходим на страницу игры в Microsoft Store и заново скачиваем Roblox;
- находим установочный файл, кликаем по нему правой кнопкой мыши и в меню выбираем «Свойства«;
- в окне «Свойств» открываем вкладку «Совместимость«, активируем опцию «Запустить программу в режиме совместимости с«, в меню выбираем версию ОС и жмем кнопку «Применить» внизу окна.
